City College is committed to providing a programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) for all our students. Our Careers Leader is Ashley Martin (Director of Student Experience and Transition).

We are proud to be recognised for the high-quality provision of our CEIAG for both young people and adults through the continued Matrix accreditation, an international quality standard.

Student Progression

City College promotes and encourages the progression of students into Higher Education, apprenticeships or employment following the completion of their course. Based in our on-site Futures Centre, our dedicated Careers and Progression team will support you with:

  • Careers advice
  • CV writing
  • Researching university, higher education and apprenticeship options
  • Applying to your next level of course at college
  • Information on voluntary work
  • Searching and applying for a university, job or apprenticeship
  • Writing personal statements
  • UCAS applications
  • Interview techniques
