This Technical Qualification in Education and Early Years is an exciting new Level 3 technical qualification, equivalent to three A Levels.

This qualification will ensure you have the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical study in the education and childcare sector. It provides a mixture of both core and specialist knowledge over a two-year period.

As part of the T Level programme you will carry out an extensive practical industry placement in an early years’ setting. This industry placement is a key part of the T Level qualification. Industry Placements develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for skilled employment in their chosen sector. As part of achieving the overall T Level programme, any student undertaking the Early Years Educator occupational specialism is required to complete a minimum of 750 hours industry placement.

In the second year of this T Level you will choose one occupational specialism, either Education and Early Years or Assisting Teaching, where you will build on the core knowledge and develop specialist knowledge and practical experience required for your chosen career.
