An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated Engineering team at City College Southampton.

The engineering team is looking for an outstanding candidate to help support the delivery of engineering qualifications to full & part time students and apprentices.  This mechanical engineering role would be ideal for someone with a machinist – mechanical fitting background.

The successful candidate will be passionate about their industry whilst also having the ambition of passing on their knowledge and experiences to the next generation of engineers. Someone coming from industry with the ambition of becoming an outstanding teacher will be considered as teacher training will be given if you are not a qualified teacher already. Training for Assessor and Verifier Qualifications is also available in this role of not already held.

Working from our St Mary’s site, your role will focus primarily on delivering high quality teaching and training in both machine shop practical and theoretical sessions

You will be able to work as part of the team or individually and have good interpersonal skills.

The salary offered is up to £31,017 + market supplement, plus pension, 39 days annual leave and statutory bank holidays. The salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and negotiable for the right candidate.
