This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, creative and enthusiastic Senior Teacher/teacher of English to join our team delivering English to the part-time adult provision. 

The successful candidate should be able to teach English across a range of levels from Functional Skills Entry level to GCSE.

As a Senior Teacher you will lead on the delivery and co-ordination of English programmes within an FE context. You will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment to students, to maximise achievement and the improvement of skills. 

This role is to teach mostly learners age 19+ although there may be some requirement to teach 16-18 year old learners. An ability to manage time effectively to complete workload and achieve Key Performance Indicators is essential, as are flexibility and sharing new ideas and approaches.

The successful candidate will be a level 5 qualified teacher (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS, QTLS) with a minimum level 3 subject specific qualification in English. Significant successful teaching experience and contribution to course design and curriculum development in Functional Skills programmes is essential.
