Wage

£4.30 per hour.
40 hours per week

Tuesday – Thursday 09.30am - 5.30pm
Friday- 9.30am – 7.00pm
Saturday- 9.00am – 3.00pm

Vacancy Description

Working in a very busy but friendly salon you will learn all aspects of a Level 2 Hairdressing apprenticeship.

This will include:

• Styling and finishing hair
• Basic cutting techniques
• Colouring and setting and dressing hair

Working within a very experienced team who are trained to an exceptional standard,you will be learning all aspects of hairdressing within a professional and friendly salon. The team prides its self on extremely high quality work for its clients, excellent customer service and has gained an enviable reputation through this with a very strong and loyal client base. The role will at first combine an element of customer service with clients and ‘shadowing’ your mentor as you embark on your career. You will learn the latest cutting techniques and styling as your skills and knowledge develop so that the salon remains at the forefront of the industry.

You will be required to attend City College Southampton one day a week where you will enhance your techniques under the watchful eyes of very knowledgeable and experienced tutors.

 Skills Required

• Good standard of general education, specifically, English Language and maths
• Ability to work under pressure to deadline with excellent attention to detail
• Experience of hairdressing or a definite interest in the industry is a must
• Self-motivated, flexible approach to work; disciplined, organised and have a can-do attitude
• The ability to use initiative
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Customer focussed
• Enjoy working as part of a smart professional team

Qualifications

 A* to C in English and Maths GCSE.
