This summer, City College Southampton students have achieved another successful set of results in their level 3 technical professional courses helping them to progress to university, to high quality apprenticeships and employment in their chosen careers.
A 100% pass rate was achieved in many subject areas including Engineering, Early Years, Health & Social Care, Performing Arts, Production Arts, Art & Design, Hairdressing, Barbering, Travel & Tourism and Hospitality.
Principal Sarah Stannard said, “We would like to congratulate all of our successful students and wish them every success for their next steps, either at university, in an apprenticeship or at work. It’s really important that students who have studied technical professional subjects are recognised for their achievements in passing these qualifications, as their journey is as challenging and rewarding as it is for those who take A-levels. Employers, in the Solent region, are increasingly saying that there is a shortage of skilled staff. At City College we pride ourselves on preparing our students to be ready to make a positive contribution at work, whether they go to work straight from college or after they have been to university”.
