Temporary Admissions Administrator
37 hours per week • Fixed term from June 2018-September 2018 • Salary: £7.83 per hour

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for you to join our marketing and admissions team to drive forward our recruitment of school leavers and adults studying at the college.
You will provide general administrative support to our admissions and enrolment teams. This will include co-ordinating and supporting potential students with their initial assessments which will determine the level of basic skills course that is most suitable for them.
You will be responsible for setting up and monitoring the assessments, dealing with queries collating the results, updating the system with the relevant information and providing them to the interviewing tutor.
You will also be providing support during a very busy enrolment period at the College, processing student ID cards, following up students who have not arrived for their induction via telephone, e-mail and SMS and recording and reporting on the outcomes of this communication. You will also undertake other general administration tasks where required.
You will have experience in a customer service role, in an education or training environment is preferred but not essential. You will be able to demonstrate excellent personal communication skills and are positive, assertive and flexible.
You will have extensive administrative skills with an excellent attention to detail. Your communication skills will be required to build relationships with students and internal teams throughout the college.
You should be educated to Level 2 or above, including GCSE grades C or above in English and maths, or equivalent qualifications. Excellent organisational and administrative skills, and a proven ability to work in a busy environment are essential, and candidates should be highly competent users of MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
