The College is looking for an enthusiastic lecturer to join our Art and Design team. With experience in Drawing, Painting, Graphic Design, Illustration, Printmaking, Typography, Adobe creative cloud and knowledge of art theory, both contemporary and historical is required.

The successful candidate should hold a degree level qualification or equivalent in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration or Graphic Communication (or equivalent)   and hold a PGCE or other level 4 teaching qualification, or a commitment to obtain a suitable teaching qualification.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the faculty of Visual and performing art and work within the department of Art and Design.  Within this role you will teach on a variety of courses from level 2 to HNC /HND and will be contributing to the on-going development of the Art and Design curriculum.

Your main roles will be to monitor and track the students’ progress towards their qualification and carry out assessments, support learners to build their portfolio of evidence and completing the relevant paperwork. You will also be required to attend standardisation meetings.

Candidates should have a commitment to providing a high quality learning environment that is designed to enable all learners to achieve their full potential. Quality assurance is a key priority for the College and therefore the ability to truly work as a team player is essential. The postholder will be expected to demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
