An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Teacher within the Motor Vehicle department at City College Southampton.

The Motor Vehicle department has outstanding facilities which cater for full time learners from entry level to level 3 and Light & Heavy vehicle apprentices.  The successful candidate will ideally have a background in HGV although this is not essential.

Working from our St Marys site, your role will focus primarily on delivering outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Learning Manager for the area to ensure IQA processes are robust and assessment decisions are accurate. 

While this post is suitable for someone considering their first senior teacher post, applicants must already have demonstrated and be able to evidence leadership potential in their current post. Candidates with experience of leading a team will be required to evidence a successful track record in achieving positive outcomes for students through a team.

You will be able to work as part of the team or individually and have good interpersonal skills. A level 5 teaching qualification and relevant industry qualifications to level 3 are essential.

The salary offered is up to £35,216 plus pension, 39 days annual leave and statutory bank holidays. The salary is dependent on experience and negotiable for the right candidate.
