We are looking to build our team of learning support staff with a variety of hours currently available. The available positions are:
1x 24 hours per week (4 days per week) over 39 weeks per year
3x 20 hours per week (3 days a week) over 39 weeks per year
We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join our dedicated team of professionals and support our outstanding teachers across a variety of faculties.
We have a clear vision to deliver a high standard of on hands on and technical training in our new facilities.
Our learning support assistants work with a wide variety of learners from entry level up to foundation degrees. Learners vary including both physical disabilities as well as challenging behaviour and dyslexia. The role will suit an applicant who holds a minimum of a level 2 within maths and English with an understanding of factors that create barriers to learning and strategies to overcome these as well as knowledge of quality improvement systems and tools to support these. In addition to this it would be beneficial to have knowledge of disabilities and learning difficulties.
The successful candidate will be flexible, and possess good motivational skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an appreciation of the uses of IT are essential, as is a commitment to excellence.
