City College Southampton is looking to recruit a knowledgeable and self-motivated Bursary Assistant to support the Bursary Officer run the student financial support function. Reporting to the Finance Manager they will be responsible for understanding student eligibility for financial support, ordering and issuing bus passes and kit, and running the finance booth.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide approximately 6 hours of support each week, term time only in a flexible pattern. The finance booth is open term time 12 midday to 2pm and time will be needed before and after for administration tasks. This post will be covering these opening times on Tuesday and Wednesday as a minimum.
Candidates will need to have GCSE Maths to at least grade C and be confident in a customer service environment.
Experience of student financial support in the Further Education sector would be desirable, but more importantly the individual will have a commitment to the organisation and a hands-on approach supporting students and ensuring the right financial support is issued.
