Associate Teacher in Motor Vehicle

Salary: £20.98 (unqualified) or £24.27 (qualified) per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced associate teacher within the Motor Vehicle department at City College Southampton.

The Motor Vehicle department has outstanding facilities which cater for full time learners from level 1 to level 3 and light & heavy vehicle level 2 and level 3 apprentices.  The successful candidate will have significant teaching experience, be a fully qualified and have a background in light vehicle or heavy vehicle mechanics.

Working from our St Marys site, your role will focus primarily on delivering outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Senior Teacher and Learning Manager for the area to ensure assessment processes are robust and assessment decisions are accurate. 

You will be able to work as part of the team or individually and have good interpersonal skills. A level 5 teaching qualification and relevant industry qualifications to level 3 are essential.

The hourly rate as advertised is a range within the band and your appointment will be based upon your skills, experience and qualifications. The hourly rate includes an enhancement for annual leave and lesson preparation / marking.
