Associate Teacher in IT Communications

Salary: £20.98 (unqualified) or £24.27 (qualified) per hour

The Media & IT department at City College Southampton are looking for an experienced IT teacher.  You will be qualified in the relevant subject to at least level 3 with your main role being to Support teachers in the delivery of courses offered within the College by ensuring the preparation, maintenance and monitoring of learning materials, tools, equipment and spaces. 

City College has excellent facilities that support highly imaginative and innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment of our students.

You should be able to demonstrate through application and interview, an in-depth level of knowledge and understanding in the specialist subject area of Information Technology, relevant contemporary software applications and related practice and be able to contextualise these within the employability agenda.

Required skills:

-Experience of Computer Science fields such as Networking, Software & -Web Development, HCI, Graphic Design, Computer Systems etc.
-Experience of software programming languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, C# or Visual Basic
-Experience of IT / Computing in the workplace
-Experience of Mobile App development
-Experience of cyber security
-Experience of IT Technical support
