An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated Electrical installation team at City College Southampton.

The electrical team has developed a good reputation for delivering high quality teaching and learning which has helped the area grow considerably over the last few years.  

We are currently looking to recruits a teacher that has experience of delivering short industry standard courses to include:

17th edition wiring regulations,
Inspection and testing,
Portable appliance testing,

The ideal candidate will have experience of, or be capable of planning and developing short courses that meet industry need such as:

3 phase,
Fault finding,
Electrical safety,

The successful candidate will be passionate about their trade whilst also having the ambition of passing on their knowledge and experiences to the next generation of tradesman. A background in teaching and learning would be advantageous although someone coming from industry with the ambition of becoming an outstanding teacher will also be considered.

Working from our St Mary’s site, your role will focus primarily on delivering high quality teaching and training to apprentices and full time learners.

You will be able to work as part of the team or individually and have good interpersonal skills.

The salary offered is up to £28.37 per hour plus pension. The salary is dependent on experience and is negotiable for the right candidate.
