About this apprenticeship
The level 3 Team Leader/Supervision Apprenticeship has been developed for first line or junior managers who have responsibilities for supporting, managing and developing team members and projects. It would suit you if you are in a role such as a supervisor, team leader, project officer, shift supervisor, foreperson or shift manager.
Over the 12 month programme, you will cover a variety of topics allowing you to support, manage and develop yourself and your team.

As an apprentice you can expect to be completing work based learning with an employer and paid a wage.
You will attend college one day a week to ensure you get the support you need to succeed. The rest of the training will take place in the workplace with in-house training by the employer and an assessor who will visit you on site.
The assessor will visit the you once a month at your place of work to discuss your progress. The assessor will liaise with you and your line manger to ensure that this is a convenient time.
- You should have GCSEs at grades 9-4/A*-C (or equivalent) in English and maths
- You must be employed in a team leading/operational management role

You will be required to attend an interview at the College prior to enrolling onto an apprenticeship.
Course length & fees
- Course Length: 1 year
On completion of this apprenticeship you may choose to register as an associate member with the CMI to support professional career development and progression.
Information for Employers
Each apprenticeship needs to include 20% off-the-job training. This must amount to 20% of the apprentice’s contracted employment hours across the whole apprenticeship. Off-the-job training is learning undertaken outside of the normal day-to-day working environment and leads towards the achievement of the apprenticeship.
End Point Assessment
Each apprentice will need an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship. It measures the skills, knowledge and behaviours each apprentice has developed. Employers will decide when the apprentice is ready to be assessed.
