About this course

Are you aged 16–24?
Do you have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)?
Do you want to progress into paid employment?

If so, our supported internship programme may be the next step for you.

The supported internship enables young people with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) to combine a work placement with a work skills programme at college along with developing their maths and English skills. The programme is designed to assist those with physical or learning difficulties to achieve regular paid employment by giving them the skills they need through learning in the workplace.

It is not so much a college course as an employment programme designed to get young people into work.  This internship programme will give them the skills needed for work, through learning in the workplace. The programme is designed to assist disabled young people to achieve sustainable paid employment by giving them the skills they need for employment through learning in the workplace.
