Retrain into Construction

If you are aged 19+ and looking to start a career or retrain to work in the construction industry this short course is the ideal starting point. It covers the fundamental skills that you need in Painting and Decorating in order to begin working in the industry.

This course provides you with the foundations and hands-on experience of painting and decorating that you need in order to take your first steps into the industry. You will be taught by industry expert teachers who have direct knowledge of the industry and have come from the industry themselves.  

Although some theory and written work is required this course is very much practical based and is focused on you developing the skills to work in the industry.

You will be studying in our purpose-built industry standard construction workshops.

You will take part in a practical and written assessment in order to gain a City and Guilds Initial Award in Construction.

No formal qualifications required.

You may need a set of safety boots and overalls for this course, this will be discussed with you.

After this course, you will be able to take your skills further with progression to the diploma or certificate in a construction trade.
