About this course
You can study GCSE Mathematics at College if you have already achieved a grade D/3. You may not be keen to take Maths again, but making the step up from grade D/3 to grade C/4 will be hugely valuable. Grade C/4 or above in GCSE Mathematics is essential for many progression opportunities.

What you will learn
You will study four main topics covering: number, shape and space, algebra and statistics.
Two exams taken in June, one without a calculator. Throughout the year there will be practice papers taken under exam conditions to give students the opportunity to learn exam techniques.
Grade D/3 in GCSE Mathematics or Level 2 Functional Skills, documentary proof will be needed. Students will be assessed as to their suitability through online assessment before entry on to the course.
You will be required to attend an interview at the College prior to enrolling onto the course.
Many employers seek a Grade C/4 as part of their entry requirements for even a job interview. However many mature students find that not having a Grade C/4 now prevents them for future promotion within their chosen career or higher education.
