About the course
City College are one of the leading providers of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in the South of England. Our flexible programme means you can start your course at any time after your interview and assessment has taken place.
Our courses will improve all of your English – speaking, listening, reading, writing and pronunciation.
You will be in a class with students from different countries and will learn about English culture and society.
Prior to starting the course you will need to have an assessment to check your level of English. Once you have been assessed you will be able to enrol and a start date will be confirmed.
The cost for your ESOL course depends on when you start - prices start from £270. Various start dates and times available.

What you will learn
Depending on your previous qualifications and assessment, the following options are available:
ESOL Certificate, Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2
You will be assessed by our tutors in college to determine which level is suitable for you based on your language skills.
To ensure you are on the right course we will give you an assessment to check your English language level. We will also review any exam results you have and advise you on your future study options for when your English has improved enough to progress.
You will be required to attend an interview at the College prior to enrolling onto the course.
