Our English courses are FREE no matter what your age and you can start the course at any time. 

Prior to starting the course you will need to have an assessment to check your level of English. Once you have been assessed you will be able to enrol and a start date will be confirmed. 

If English is not your first language and you have not been resident in the UK for the last 5 years, please apply for ESOL.

What you will learn

In these classes you can work on improving your reading, writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar, speaking and listening skills and how to use a dictionary.  You will also be able to use ICT to help you.  You can enrol throughout the year and there are classes in the morning, afternoon and evenings.


You can take a Functional Skills Entry 2 qualification or C&G progression units at this level.  They show you have reached a national standard at Entry 2 which is a great achievement and will give you confidence to progress.
