J&S Laser Profiles are based in Southampton in Hampshire, and produce high quality laser cut profiles and general sheet metal fabrications for businesses and private clients throughout the UK. About J&S Laser Profiles Originally formed from the aircraft and electronics industries, J&S Laser Profiles offer fresh innovations and cost-effectiveness; providing a quality service where customers can depend on flexibility, accuracy and quick delivery – from one-off samples to large batch work. We continually invest in new machinery to ensure we are at the forefront of technology, with fabrication facilities including 3 pressbrakes, guillotines and coded welders, a flying optic laser and combination laser and punching machine (with load and unload mechanisms). We can also offer Night-Shift production and “Lights-Out” production. J&S Laser Profiles provide a one-stop shop, including design, finishing and painting treatments, meeting the highest standards in all our work.
Job Role & Duties
A sheet-metal worker will work with materials up to 3mm in thickness using computer numerically controlled and other equipment to shape and form components for fabrication.
A plater will work with materials over 3mm in thickness to join components with fasteners or a range of fusion techniques.
Welders will join sections, tube, pipe and plate together using a range of specialist welding equipment.

A*-C Maths and English Language GCSE or equivalent are essential to take up an advanced Level apprenticeship.
A Level 2 fabrication and Welding/Engineering Qualification would be desirable also.
