Wage

£4 per hour.
40 hours per week.

Tuesday 9am – 6pm.
Wednesday 9am – 6pm.
Thursday 10am – 8pm.
Friday 9am – 6pm.
Saturday 9am- 5pm.

Vacancy Description

A rare opportunity to join an exceptional team of hairdressers that are fast becoming one of the most exciting brands in the city of Southampton. Be mentored by award winning Salon Director Rebecca Hunt and learn all aspects of a Level 2 Hairdressing apprenticeship.

You will have weekly one on one training sessions aswell as working side by side with our extremely experienced team. Once your knowledge and skills develop you will be actively encouraged to practise them further.

Discover the artistic side of hairdressing and learn Avante Garde, Editorial and photographic styling, as well as the opportunity to take part in competition and stage work.

You will be required to attend City College Southampton one day a week where you will enhance your techniques under the watchful eyes of very knowledgeable and experienced tutors.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Precision cutting
• All aspects of Colour and technical services.
• Editorial styling and dressing hair
• Avant Garde and artistic hairdressing

Skills Required 

• An enthusiastic work ethic and positive approach with exceptional people skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to deadlines whilst maintaining an enthusiastic approach.
• Experience of hairdressing or a definite interest in the industry is a must
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Enjoy working as part of a close knit team
• Excellent time management
• Competent at taking instructions from other members of the tea
• Good standard of general education, specifically, English Language and maths
• You must be punctual, reliable, trustworthy and hardworking with a passion to succeed.

Qualifications

A* to C in English and Maths GCSE.
