Vacancy Description

Interested in one of our apprenticeships but not entirely sure what it entails? Well, as an apprentice you’ll be right in the thick of all the action. It’s a great route into the industry. You’ll get the chance to expand your knowledge by attending college one day a week, while constantly discovering new and exciting things and learning from our industry experts on the job. If you’re an individual that can work independently when appropriate and can demonstrate a positive approach to problem solving, then an apprenticeship is the perfect step for you.

However, it doesn’t stop there. The great thing about an apprenticeship is that you’ll be earning a salary straight away while learning, then eventually gaining a professional qualification. You’ll be given continued support as you develop your skills throughout the program and there is no cost for the training you receive.

Learn how to design the world’s most epic structures. You never know, you could be involved in creating the next iconic bridge or developing one of the largest tunnels! As a civil engineering technician, you’ll be getting involved in the design, analysis, delivery and overall engineering of many important projects, providing long lasting solutions for everyone involved. Using programmes such as computer aided design and building information management, you’ll learn engineering principles and technics to help design and deliver infrastructure and buildings. If you have a broad skills base then this is certainly the scheme for you! You’ll get to apply your skills to projects in sectors such as water, energy, transportation, geotechnics and many more.

At the end of all your hard work, you’ll have the opportunity to become a qualified engineering technician (EngTech). You’ll also gain a Level 3 Diploma in Civil Engineering for Technicians and a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment.
