123 Insight Ltd are looking for an IT Support Apprentice. The candidate will report to the Support Team Leader and Manager.  Their main interaction will be with the support team and customers (via email and phone).  There will be times they will also need to consult the commercial and customer care teams on customer issues.  The support team also looks after in-house IT which involves assisting all employees with any questions/issues they have pertaining to software and individual PC’s.

Job Role & Responsibilities

  • Apprentice position within the support team leading to full time employment
  • Answering customer support calls and giving technical advice on 123insight software
  • Performing remote installs and upgrades
  • Testing new releases of software
  • Investigation of software bugs
  • Issuing new licences and monthly serial codes
  • Assisting with the on-going development of the software
  • Administration duties
  • Perform additional duties as required by 123 Insight
  • Appropriate training software will be provided

Desired skills

Good IT Knowledge – specifically MS Office applications, some SQL knowledge beneficial
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to operate in a busy and challenging environment
Willingness to learn, with a positive attitude and drive to take on new responsibilities
Be customer focused and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service
Attention to detail combined with a common sense approach
Troubleshooting, analytical & problem solving skills

Personal qualities
Outgoing personality with a strong work ethic essential

Qualifications required
Mathematics level 1, English level 1,  ICT level 1, or GCSE grades A-C
