Crest Nicholson PLC are based in the South East and South West of England, we have a number of 2 and 3 year apprenticeships leading to nationally recognised qualifications. We have a dedicated Apprenticeship manager working with your college, site manager and subcontractor. Crest Nicholson have been building new homes for over 50 years and is firmly established as a leading developer with a passion for not just building homes, but creating vibrant sustainable communities. The below trade apprenticeships are options that the employer will provide -  there is only one apprenticeship position available depending on the candidates trade preference.

Bricklayer: working with team of bricklayers carrying out bricklaying duties including laying blocks, bricks, and preparing areas of work.

Site Carpenter: working with teams of carpenters 1st and 2nd fix on site carpentry.

Painter: working with teams of decorators applying mist coat, 1st and 2nd and gloss coats of paint. Preparing all walls and woodwork to finish paintwork on apartments.

Annual wage £11,679.00

Working week

Monday to Friday 7.30 – 4.30pm 1 hour for lunch 40 hours per week
Total hours per week: 40.00

Expected apprenticeship duration 24 months

Future prospects

On successful completion of your Apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to become self- employed, to be offered a role working with a sub- contractor or eligible to apply for our Trainee Site Manager Academy, where you could train to go on to be a Site Manager. But what we’re really passionate about, is your future. We have an innovate scheme that identifies and develops great talent onto inspiring career paths like a place on our CITB and CIOB endorsed Site Management Academy or providing business skills and grant to set up your own business or simply securing employment with one of our contractors.

Desired skills

We require enthusiastic apprentices to work on our existing sites. The applicant must be committed to learning, with a genuine interest and commitment to this exciting and dynamic industry.

Apprentices will be working alongside experienced tradesmen on a daily basis on site and will complete off-the-job training at a local college on a block release basis.

Qualifications required

For the intermediate (level 2) apprenticeship no previous qualifications are required. You will have an assessment to ensure you have the skills to complete this apprenticeship.
