Wage:
£3.90 per hour.
Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm.
40 hours a Week.

Vacancy Description

The successful candidate will be working in a busy workshop alongside a very experienced team. Working alongside a mentor you will learn all aspects of Fabrication and Welding and will attend City College Southampton on a day release basis on a level 3 Apprenticeship.

You will be working with various metals, learning to read drawings, measure, cut and shape and be instructed on how to weld.

One weeks work experience at the company will be required as part of the selection process as well as a formal interview

Skills Required

• Good standard of general education, specifically, English Language, IT and maths
• Ability to work under pressure to deadline with excellent attention to detail
• Able to prioritise workload and re-schedule as required
• Excellent time management
• Competent at taking instructions from other members of the team

Qualifications

A* to C in English and Maths GCSE.

As it is a Level 3 program, we cannot progress any applications that can't prove they got a C/4 or higher in GCSE Maths and English.
