Wage

£168 a week.

There will be pay increments as you complete your qualifications throughout the course at 6 monthly intervals, provided that performance requirements are met and kept to a high standard. There will be further opportunity to continue your career in the company after completion of your apprenticeship.

Vacancy Description

As a Civil Engineering Technician Apprentice you will be providing technical support to the engineers in our team in various design phases on a large variety of different schemes. You will be working alongside engineers of all levels and on projects across various sectors including infrastructure, residential, commercial and education. You will be contributing to the overall design process through a close working relationship with the team across these projects.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work within a design team responsible for the design of drainage systems, highway layouts, S278/S38 schemes, and foundations and structures
  • Work in a design environment with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities
  • Draft and contribute to the design of on and off-site highway features, drainage systems, foundations and residential structures in accordance with the appropriate standards and codes.
  • Be responsible for the production of consistent high quality drawing packages, considering specific client requirements
  • Provide technical input and support for reports and technical note.

  • Good standard of general education, specifically, English Language, IT and Maths

  • Excellent time management
  • Competent at taking instructions from other members of the team

Qualifications

A* to C in English and Maths GCSE.
