Peer Support is recognised as a key component of modern mental health and wellbeing provision. Through sharing wisdom from their own experiences, peer support staff and volunteers will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others. In this role, you will be improving understanding of mental health in children, young people, families and school staff by supporting the development of online opportunities such as web chats, which will offer advice and support alongside opportunities for people to share their own experiences and coping strategies in a safe, peer-led way. You will support the team in using a range of digital platforms to create skill based groups, share their stories and engage young people and families to take part in joint discussions and learning. You will coordinate forums for young people and families, giving an opportunity for service users to influence local provision and play a key role in reflection and co-production of digital support.
