Location: Ringwood, Hampshire
Wage: Annual wage £11,050 (this equals to £5 p/hr based on a 42.5 week)
Hours: Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week (40 hours if aged under 18)
Vacancy Description An exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate to become part of our highly skilled and qualified team who are trained in all aspects of Heating and Ventilation. You will be learning on the job and also attend formal training at college on weekly a day release basis. You will be working on commercial installation projects which are site-based giving you a broad understanding of the trade and construction sector.
The specific duties of the role will be flexible and will change to meet the needs of the organisation but will include or be equivalent in nature to:
Shadow your mentor on Construction sites. Comply with the relevant health, safety and environmental requirements. Assist in preparing Heating, Domestic and Public Health piped systems according to engineering drawings and specifications, as directed by Supervisor. Receive both on-site and off-site training and be involved in a variety of heating and ventilation works, being supervised at all times.
The apprentice will complete their training as a Level 3 qualified Heating and Ventilation Craftsperson. The training will be day release (the day to be confirmed) at City College Southampton.
Qualifications GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or Level 2 Functional Skills) and GCSE grade 3/D in ICT (or Level 1 Functional Skills) are required for this apprenticeship. We will ask for evidence of this when applying.
