Every summer our creative arts students showcase their work in a public exhibition, this year it was hosted once again in the beautiful 13th century God’s House Tower (in the medieval walls). This annual Creative Industries Exhibition was open to the public on Friday 9th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June with a private view event held on the evening of Thursday 8th June to celebrate the final major projects of our creative students.

This historic building was transformed into a large exhibition space displaying creative work from full-time, part-time and higher education students. The work on show included a wide range of specialisms, such as fine art, print-making, painting, sculpture, photography, illustration and graphic design. The event this year was called "We Belong to EARTH."

Students were present during the private view to talk to invited guests about their artistic journey, and their methods of research, investigation and experimentation which led to their final exhibition work.

Principal Martin Sim said “I really enjoyed seeing the student’s work and the location was fantastic. I even went to the exhibition twice in the end. The art team and students should be very proud of what they have achieved.”

Delighted with the success of the opening night, creative arts teacher Beth Fletcher added: “The team are so proud of the incredible work produced by our students for this exhibition. This was our most successful exhibition to date, and everyone worked very hard to ensure its success. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who visited. We appreciate the continued support of our students by God’s House Tower, and look forward to working with them and seeing you all there next year.”
