How do I apply

International students (outside the EU) usually study under a Tier 4 Student visa. As soon as we receive your academic certificates and full fees are paid we will issue you a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), which you will need to apply for the visa. Students are also required to show their ability to live in the UK - Southampton City College is outside London therefore the funds required for evidence under UK Border Agency regulations is 9 months at £600.00. The fees will be declared as paid on the CAS papers.

Course Fees 2012-2013

Fees for 2012-2013 are £5,200 for one academic year (September to June) for any full-time course of 15 hours a week. Prospective students are required to pay all fees to Southampton City College before CAS papers will be issued. 

Terms and Conditions

A Certificate of Acceptance for studies (CAS) for the purposes of visa application will not be issued until the appropriate fee has been received. In the event of a visa not being issued the fee will be refunded, minus a £250 administration fee. The College has a policy of no refunds once fees have been paid except under the most extenuating circumstances, such as family bereavement. On enrolling at the College, students do so for the whole course and cannot claim a refund if they arrive after the start date of their course or leave the course before the official finishing date. In some cases, additional text books will be required, the purchase of which is the responsibility of the students. Wherever possible, notification of this by the College will occur prior to the start of the course.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not arranged by Southampton City College. Students need to ensure arrangements for this is completed before entering the United Kingdom.

Students will be required to inform the college of the living arrangements made within the Southampton area - a local address will be requested before CAS papers are released. The address given will be verified by the college.
