The details of each of the members of the City College Corporation are listed below:

 

Anna Barney

Dr Anna Barney

Anna Barney has been a Member of the Corporation since 2003. She is the Associate Dean for Education in the Faculty of Engineering and the Envionment at the University of Southampton.

 
Richard Blackwell

Dr Richard Blackwell

Richard Blackwell joined the Board in 2011. He has been Deputy Vice Chancellor at Solent University since 2010, and prior to this he worked for Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and the Higher Education Academy in its formative years. At Solent, Richard is responsible for employability and enterprise, advocacy in policy communities and local skills partnerships. Richard enjoys working in teams and collaborating with people at all levels to achieve results, which he has done at national, regional and institutional level both in the UK and abroad. Richard is a member of the editorial board of HE Quarterly and has published widely on quality enhancement and change in HE.

 
Revd Dr Julian Davies

Revd Dr Julian Davies

Julian Davies joined the Corporation in December 2010. He is the Team Rector for Southampton City Centre, and is based at St Mary’s Church directly beside the College so has a good understanding of the local community and environment. Before ordination, he taught for the School of Modern History at Oxford. Since ordination, he has served in several urban and inner-city parishes.

 
Mike Hobby

Mr Mike Hobby

A former general engineering student of City College (leaving in 1982), Michael is now a director of Pktmny Limited which allows parents to pay and monitor pocket money online, with the aim of helping children learn to manage money. As a Governor, Michael’s goal is to ensure the College maximises the potential of every student.

 
Jeyanthi John

Dr Jeyanthi John

Jeyanthi John joined the Corporation in October 2009.  She is a consultant in dental public health for Southampton City Primary Care Trust.

 
 
Andrew May

Mr Andrew May

Andrew is the College’s ICT Support Manager. He was elected as Staff Board Member in November 2012.

 
Eddie Perry

Eur Ing Eddy Perry

Eddy Perry was the Apprentice Training Manager for BAE Systems plc at Portsmouth Naval Base. An ex-Royal Navy engineer officer he has considerable experience in management and skills training. He is currently serving his second term of office with the Corporation, and he became Vice-Chair in Autumn 2010.

 
Tony Pitcher

Mr Anthony Pitcher, OBE – Chair

Tony Pitcher joined the Corporation in 2007 and was elected as Chair during that year.  He worked in further education for most of his career and has been the Principal of 2 FE Colleges; he was Vice Chair of Oaklands College in Hertfordshire prior to joining the Southampton City College Board. He now acts as an education consultant.  He was appointed OBE in 2005 for services to further education.

 
Lindsey Noble

Ms Lindsey Noble  - Principal

Lindsey is an experienced leader in education and education management, involved in the further education sector in a senior role since 1990 and principal and chief executive of Southampton City College since 2001. She is a graduate of Sheffield University and the Open University. Lindsey is committed to changing lives through education and encouraging the acquisition of relevant skills for the 21st century economy. She has led the College through a major capital development programme and a financial recovery. Since 2001 the College has seen a transforming improvement in learner success and in the quality of provision offered at the College. Lindsey puts significant effort in working collaboratively with organisations that share a vision for the future success and prosperity of Southampton and the south coast region.

 
Paul Weir

Paul Weir

Paul is an Operations Director from the telecom and digital media industries, with experience of risk-management, mergers & acquisitions, and people-development in growing organisations. He currently works for BT as Director of Technical Infrastructure Solutions. Paul is a member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology, and the Institute of Directors. Paul is also an ex-student of City College, and he holds an MBA from Henley Management College.
