City College recognised at Commercial Vehicle Show

City College returned from the Commercial Vehicle Show at Birmingham NEC with full arms earlier this month.

 

The college collected its official plaque from IRTEC, having been accredited by the body to deliver its IRTEC Licensing Scheme.

 

City College is the only college in the South to have been accredited by IRTEC and is working with some of the biggest names in the region to provide training and accreditation on its behalf.

 

The college is currently working with the likes of DAF and SHB to deliver training on site to its staff. The college's motor vehicle lecturers oversee examinations and practical tests for staff and are able to accredit companies with the IRTEC Licence once they have passed all units.

 

It is a vital service for automotive companies as the accreditation allows them to demonstrate to their customers their high levels of technical ability, customer service and understanding of regulations. By having the training and examinations delivered flexibly on site by City College, they are able to integrate the work easily into the day-to-day running of their businesses.
