City College Southampton Art Exhibition
The Hub at City College Southampton is throwing open its doors to everyone from Monday 10th June 2013 until Friday 14th June 2013 to showcase the innovative work of talented students from the faculties of photography, graphic design, fashion, 3D/sculpture and fine art.

Jobs boost in Southampton
Twenty new jobs are being created in Southampton by Woolston based company Griffon Hoverwork. Young people are being given the chance to carve long term careers through apprenticeships. Young people inspired at information evening
Potential students of the brand new Southampton Studio School were left feeling inspired after a getting to know you event at City College Southampton on May 16.

Adult Learner Fair to return in June
City College held its first Adult Learner Fair of 2013 last weekend to great acclaim.
Hundreds of people attended the event as the college opened its doors and encouraged adults to think about improving their skills for work or for pleasure.

Hair-raising fun as things go bump in the night

College’s cross-cultural trip to China
City College Southampton hopes to strengthen its links with China during a cross-cultural visit.

Mayors Visit
A group of hospitality students accompanied by Ruth Pugh and Saadik Esat were invited to tea in the Mayor's Parlour on the 23rd April 2013. University challenge for pupils
Talented students enjoyed a chance to meet the experts and talk about their career prospects at City College Southampton on Friday, May 3.

Hairdresser Charley is a cut above the rest
City College Southampton hairdressing student Charley Wyatt came top of the crop when she competed in a major competition in London.
Charley, a Level Three hairdressing student, proved she is head and shoulders above the rest as she was one of five winners of the Wella Xposure regional heats and has now been put forward for the national finals, to be held on June 6.

College's off the wall eco-demo
City College today hosted a demonstration of how new external wall insulation (EWI) can be applied to buildings to improve heat efficiency and cut fuel bills.
The presentation of the latest eco-friendly construction technology will help students understand the skills they will need as Southampton aims to become a greener city and reduce carbon emissions further.

New principal and CEO of City College Southampton announced
Sarah Stannard, currently vice principal of Chichester College, has been appointed as the new principal and CEO of City College Southampton.
She will take up her post in August, as principal and CEO Lindsey Noble leaves to take part in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 13/14.

Isle of Wight Studio School gets the green light
Proposals to open the first ever studio school on the Isle of Wight have today been officially approved by the Department for Education.
