With so many parents continuing to work whilst having children and a growing trend in a need for qualified staff, there are many exciting opportunities in the childcare sector. There has never been a better time to take up studies in childcare, with more places being made available every year through nurseries and preschools.

 

The first years are critical in a child’s development. Do you think you’ve got what it takes to make an impact on people’s lives in this rewarding and very responsible role? If you enjoy working with children and can offer young people enthusiasm, passion and commitment, then childcare will give you a sense of achievement and job satisfaction. Nursery Managers can earn up to £30k.

 

Example Careers

Early years worker, private nanny, playgroup supervisor, nursery manager, creché assistant, children’s holiday rep either UK based or abroad, work with airlines and unaccompanied children, progress to university and become a teacher.

 

Specialist Facilities

Your training will be undertaken in a specially designed learning centre on the main campus.

 

How Will I Be Assessed?

You will complete assignments and multiple-choice exams. At Level 2, you will also be assessed on your work placement.

 

Course information for parents

Level 3 (A level equivalent)

We have a range of level 3 programmes which are equivalent to 3 A levels (360 UCAS points). These information sheets are user friendly for parents. It gives you the main detail of the equivalence of the qualification along with an outline of course content, learning strategies, progression routes and a case study of a previous learner.
