City Life Radio : 24 May 2010

City life first broadcast on Unity 101 on the 27th April 2010. The show was created by Journalism students at Southampton City College and it continues today. The show broadcasts every Monday from 2pm until 3pm on Unity 101.1fm (throughout Southampton) or online at www.unity101.org.

 

In our radio studio we have broadcast quality sound equipment which is used most days by other departments throughout the college. The radio facilities provide the students with the tools to research, Plan and create their own interviews, shows or podcasts.

Are you a budding writer, if so then please listen to Ali's podcast, Ali is an ex city college student.

Ali Sparkes is a journalist and broadcaster who can't help making stuff up. Fortunately she only makes stuff up in books, leaving her journalistic reputation intact. Ali, who lives in Southampton with her husband and two sons, has always loved adventure stories about kids who poke about in woods, about kids who are having a hard time but can still be brave and amazing, about kids who live an ordinary life until something extraordinary happens to them. Dax Jones is all of these and he's the hero of the new Shapeshifter Series, published by Oxford University Press.
