Information & Advice Support Service
Information, Advice and Guidance is available to all and can be accessed through the Information and Advice Team in Student Support.
Our team of Information Assistants and Advice Officers are here to offer you help and support at any point during your time with us at City College.
We can help with:
- any information you may need about courses both full-time and part-time
- advice on applying and enrolling for courses both full-time and part-time
- advice on financial support that may be available to help with the cost of learning - materials, kit, uniform and childcare (as well as tuition, exams and travel if you are 19+)
- information and advice on Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA), Adult Learning Grant (ALG), Discretionary Learner Support Fund (dLSF)
Care to Learn and Free Childcare for Training and Learning for Work - information and advice on accessing careers guidance
- information and advice on where to go for any other help including learning support, personal issues or applying for university
- information on college facilities:
Sunrise Nursery, Aspire Restaurant, Transformations Salon, Learning Centre and Refectory

We offer a drop in service Monday to Friday 9am – 12 and 2 – 4:30pm (4pm Tuesday and Friday) Unless the College is closed – please check before you make your journey.
