The details of each of the members of the City College Corporation are listed below:

 

Anna Barney  

Dr Anna Barney

Anna Barney has been a Member of the Corporation since 2003. She is the Associate Dean for Education in the Faculty of Engineering, Science and Mathematics at the University of Southampton.

     
Chris Buckley  

Mr Chris Buckley

Chris Buckley joined the Corporation in March 2009.  He is the Group Planning Director for Lawton Communications Group Ltd, a Southampton-based communications, media, marketing and public relations company.  He has had a 3 year term of office as the Fundraising and Marketing Executive of the National Union of Students which has given him a valuable insight into the student generation.  He is currently on the Boards of Business Southampton and Solent Skills Quest.

     
Ray Hallett  

Mr Ray Hallett

Ray Hallett is a business services Director with the Southampton branch of the accountants Tenon.  He is a Chartered Accountant and joined the Corporation in January 2009.

     
Philip Holliday  

Captain Philip Holliday

Philip Holliday is the Port of Southampton Harbour Master.  Philip has a BSc in Business Information Studies and holds a Merchant Navy Masters Ticket and with a range of general senior management experience Philip provides a helpful contribution to the Corporation. Philip joined the Corporation in 2007.

     
Jeyanthi John  

Dr Jeyanthi John

Jeyanthi John joined the Corporation in October 2009.  She is a consultant in dental public health for Southampton City Primary Care Trust.

     
Kevin Liles  

Mr Kevin Liles

Kevin joined the Corporation in 2007.  He is the Executive Director for Corporate Operations for NHS Southampton (Southampton City Primary Care Trust).  He is a lifelong resident of the city with a comprehensive knowledge of the public sector and voluntary services. He is particularly interested in the College, not only as he was a student here himself in 1974 -76 but because it is becoming an increasingly important career enabler.

     
Terry Matthews  

Councillor Terry Matthews

Terry Matthews is the current Conservative City Councillor for Shirley ward (since 2002).  He is a Cabinet Member with the Young People and Skills portfolio.
He is retired after a 20 year career with TRANSCO in the infrastructure department.  He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.  He has experience as a Trade Union secretary and a job evaluator. Terry joined the Corporation in March 2009.

     
Eddie Perry  

Eur Ing Eddy Perry

Eddy Perry has recently been re-appointed for a second term on the Corporation.  He is the Apprentice Training Manager for BVT Surface Fleet Support Limited at Portsmouth Naval Base.  An ex-Royal Navy engineer officer he has considerable experience in management and skills training. 

     
Tony Pitcher  

Mr Anthony Pitcher, OBE – Chair

Tony Pitcher joined the Corporation in 2007 and was elected as Chair during that year.  He worked in further education for most of his career and has been the Principal of 2 FE Colleges; he was Vice Chair of Oaklands College in Hertfordshire prior to joining the Southampton City College Board. He now acts as an education consultant.  He was appointed OBE in 2005 for services to further education.

     
Colin Williams  

Mr Colin Williams – Vice Chair

With a background in finance and accounting, Colin is currently joint managing director of Williams Shipping Holdings Ltd.  He joined the Corporation in 2007 and was elected Vice Chair in 2008.

     
Lindsey Noble  

Ms Lindsey Noble  - Principal

Lindsey Noble has been Principal and Chief Executive since 2001.  She has overseen the financial recovery of the College and the transformation of the campus.  She presents the strong leadership towards “Outstanding by 2012”
