Showcase of style and success at City College hair and beauty awards

Curls and coiffed tresses turned heads at City College in June as the annual hair and beauty awards took place.

 

Scores of students from the college's hair and beauty courses gathered in the hub theatre to celebrate their achievements over the last year and showcase their talents.

 

2012 has been a successful year for hair and beauty at City College, with several students reaching the finals of national competitions. Sarah Jacobs travelled to London to take part in the ‘Wella Xposure' competition and Charlotte Moss and Claire Heeman made the final of The British Barbering Association National Student Competition.

 

Students and staff within the department have also been instrumental in spearheading the college's drive to raise money for Naomi House and JacksPlace and a representative from the charity attended the event to collect a cheque for more than £3,000 from the college.
