About the CourseSome people need the ECDL Extra, level 2, qualification for employment reasons. They will already be ICT competent at level 2 and just need to sit the exam to gain the qualification. For these people we have an EXAM ONLY option.
Exam only learners can access the learning centre to undertake sample tests in preparation for the exam or can be emailed them on application. The fee does not include tuition or support. However, learners will need to complete an assessment that a tutor will feedback on before taking the exam, this is so that we are confident the learner is ready to sit the exam. Learning centre staff will inform learners of dates available for exams to be taken. People that need maximum flexibility to sit an exam can pay for personal exam time. For more details about the exam option please use the apply link at the top of the page. On receipt of your application you will be contact to attend and interview to discuss your needs.
Because this is not a course where you will undertake learning and teaching the skills funding agency do not contribute to the cost of this exam only option. Class and distance learning based courses are co funded and so may seem less costly than this option to gain the qualification; this is also because we are being as flexible as we can to suit your needs.
